Spot Light:
Richard "Rich" Dixon - Assitant Child Care Director
Richard serves as the Asstistant Childcare Director and has worked in many areas
of the YMCA for the past seven years. Other than child care, Richard has been
an asset to the aquatic department as a lifeguard, the fitness department as a
fitness attendant, and the membership department as a member service staff and
he was a building supervisor. Not only has Richard been a valuable employee,
but he has also been a valuable volunteer. Richard has had a role in the annual
Open Doors scholarship campaign raising monies for families who cannot afford
to come to the YMCA. He has also volunteered his time in the sports department
as a coach for many different YMCA sports. Richard will be leaving the YMCA family
in early May to complete an internship for graduation. In August 2008, he will
graduate with a Bachelors of Science with a major in Sports Management and a minor
in Business Administration from
North
Greenville
University
. He will be attending the
Graduate
School
at NGU in January 2009, to pursue his MBA. His hobbies include "everything Clemson,"
coaching youth sports, and enjoying life.

- Day Camp Registration is going on now. At the YMCA, we don't treat childcare like it's child's play. To us child care
is a serious business. That is why we design our day camp to be fun filled and
educationally stimulating. Day Camp this summer will be filled with weekly field
trips, arts and crafts, swimming, field days, character development, performing
arts and much, much more. Call or come by the front desk for details.
