Up-coming Active Older Adult events  

  • Senior Luncheon will be on Thursday, May 15 from 11:45 AM - 2:00 PM.  Sign up to bring your favorite dish at the front desk.

Do you want to plan ahead for your trips for the year?  Here is a tentative schedule of what we have in store for 2008.  Information with registration will be posted prior to sign ups for each event.

  • August                   Knoxville Riverboat Cruise with lunch on board

Active Older Adult Programs

  • Fit for Life:  This class is designed for active older adults.  It is a low impact workout that combines low impact cardio with some conditioning.  Beginning exercisers are welcome. Offered:  Tues/Thurs: 8:15 AM - 9:00 AM
  • Silver Sneakers I:  Range of motion and strengthening class for inactive older adults.  Class uses chairs, bands, balls, and dumbbells.  Offered:  Tues/Thurs: 11:15 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Silver Sneakers II:  Strength and cardio intervals for the active older adult.  Must be able to stand at least 30 minutes. Offered:  Mon/Wed: 11:45 AM - 12:45 PM
  • Silver Sneakers Yoga Stretch: Offered:  Fri: 11:15 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Arthritis Aquatic Class:  This class is for those with arthritis or other physical limitations.  We focus on range of motion in all major joints, strengthening major and minor muscle groups and water walking. 
              Offered:  Mon/Wed:         10:00 AM - 11:00 AM
                             Mon/Wed/Fri:    11:00 AM - 12:00 PM
  • Senior Water Exercise:  A change of pace for our active older members.  This class allows you to workout at your own pace.  It is a great way to strengthen your spirit, mind and body.
              Offered:  Mon/Wed/Thurs:  2:00 PM - 3:00 PM
                             Tues/Fri:              12:00 PM - 1:00 PM
