Enrich your child’s life and let them take full advantage of the facilities at the Y with the Afterschool program. This program is held on-site at Duncan Chapel Elementary School from school dismissal until 6:00pm.
Mother's Morning OutA warm welcoming atmosphere in which children will have the
opportunity to function in a structured setting designed for children
ages 3 and 4. They will be exposed to a wide variety of curriculum
included in the K-4 state program. Themed activities will include days
of the week, colors, numbers, counting, shapes, song, dance, reading and
writing. This program is coordinated by SC state certified teacher,
Audrey Smith. Program starts September 6th and is held every Tuesday and
Thursday from 9:00am - 1:00pm.

DANCE CURRICULUMThis program educates dancers in multiple disciplines with an emphasis on proper technique and an appreciation of the art. Our youngest dancers begin by exploring movement, rhythm, spatial awareness and building their own creativity. These concepts create a foundation that we can continue to nurture as dancers grow through the program. Through the years, dancers will be introduced to discipline specific An additional part of every dancer’s curriculum is gaining appreciation of the art through understanding the history, experiencing the art as a spectator and eventually even becoming a part of the creative process through self-expression. There are many in-class experiences that help to facilitate this understanding, but we also provide several extra-curricular enrichment opportunities, like our Summer Baseball
