Whether you want a night out on the town, or just need a night to yourself, bring your children to Parents' Night Out.  Your children will get to play group games, go swimming (for children over five years of age), watch movies, eat pizza and have a great time.  The best part may be the cost! This program is FREE for Family Memberships and Single Parent Family Memberships!.  The program runs on the first and third Friday of every month from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM.  Advance registration is required. This service is available with your Family Membership.

Open Doors

The YMCA embraces people of all ages, incomes, abilities, religious and ethnic backgrounds.  We work to break barriers of isolation and to create the connections that add meaning to life.  Participants with a financial need are encouraged to apply for Y scholarships.  The YMCA uses a sliding scale to evaluate each applicant.  Through gifts to the annual Open Doors Scholarship Campaign, the YMCA of Greenville makes its services available to thousands in our community every year.  Annually, the YMCA provides in excess of $950,000 in scholarships through gifts made by county friends.  Please make a pledge and open the door for someone who needs what the Y provides.  To make a pledge, please contact Leslie Harmon at 963-3605.

Stroke and Turn Swim Clinics

The Stroke & Turn clinics are a series of advanced classes designed to take the student's knowledge of each competitive stroke and refine the technique. The coaches use several techniques to develop proper swimming habits. These include, but are not limited to, in-water and dry-land exercises. Not only do we offer these classes to children, but will also open these classes up to any adults who want to develop their strokes. Please contact Reuben Hawks, Aquatic Coordinator, or Member Services for more information!

After School Child Care

Yes! We do have space in After School Care!

If you are members of the YMCA, or your children are, the cost is $65/week/child, although we do have a second child discount of $10/week.  We also have a registration fee of  $30/child as members.  Payment can be made in the form of checks at pickup everyday, or in Cash or by Credit Card at the member services desk at the Golden Strip YMCA.

If you are not members of the YMCA we would love to talk to you about the benefits of becoming members, including saving money on programs such as After School Care, Youth Sports, Swim Lessons & Day Camp.  Our non-member prices are $80/week/child, and we also have the second child discount.  This registration fee is $45/child.

Our care is provided at the YMCA on Adams Mill Rd. After we pick the children up we go back to the site, have a healthy snack, home work time, physical exercise time, and then center time, such as arts & crafts, coloring, building blocks, and other activities until 6:00 PM.  We have a great staff, who have lots of training, experience, and a deep love for childcare.

If you need another great benefit of our programs, it is certainly our Holiday/All Day Care.  During most teacher workdays, and holidays we provide care from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.  These days are filled with special events such as swimming, field trips, and other larger activities.  Details about these programs are handed during normal after school care in the weeks and days leading up to the holiday.  These days come at a reduced cost for ASCC participants.
