Want to Volunteer?
Since its beginning, the YMCA has been creating, managing and expanding its programs and facilities with the invaluable help of volunteers. Annually, hundreds of people give hours of their time and talents to the well being of the youth and adults in our community. What better way to make a difference in the lives of others than to contribute yourself? What volunteers give of themselves returns in heartwarming and often unexpected ways. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer, or finding out more information, please complete the following forms and return them to the YMCA. Thanks for your consideration and continued support.
Family Sports Discussion Topics:
Why Exercise is cool:
Kids/teenagers exercise all the time without even thinking about it. Just being active, like when you run around outside or play kickball at school, is a kind of exercise. What else counts as exercise? Playing sports, dancing, doing push-ups, and even reaching down to touch your toes.
When you exercise, you're helping build a strong body that will be able to move around and do all the stuff you need it to do. Try to be active every day and your body will thank you later!
