2012 Horizons Values Conference

Horizons Values Conference, held at the YMCA's Camp Greenville, is different from YIG's traditional conferences. Instead of debating, participants are split into small groups that we call families and spend the weekend discussing values challenges they face.

In addition to discussions, families compete against each other in a talent show and Bedlam Ball.

Horizons, like many of our conference, is run by resource staff. We are thankful to have such a great group of college students and adults working with our high school students.

This family won the annual 'Bedlam Ball' game.

2011 Model Legislature and Court Conference

In November, more than 1,000 students from all over the state come together to participate in a three-day conference at the Statehouse in Columbia. Participants can choose one of the following roles:

  • Legislators: students write and debate bills
  • Attorneys: students try and appeal cases
