Open Doors Scholarship
 Support the YMCA by campaigning for the 2010 Open Doors Financial Assistance CampaignEach year, we have many generous people support our Open Doors Campaign by donating their time and talents. For the 2010 Open Doors Campaign, our association goal is to raise over $600,000. Currently each branch is looking for volunteers to be campaigners for the 2010 Open Doors Campaign. Campaigning is easy- contact your friends, co-workers, and other Y members and ask them to join you in supporting the YMCA! If you are interested in becoming a campaigner, you can contact Lauren Strittmatter at 864-242-1111,ext 60. The YMCA embraces people of all ages, incomes, abilities, religious, and ethnic backgrounds. We work to break barriers of isolation and to create the connections that add meaning to life. Participants with a financial need are encouraged to apply for Y scholarships. The YMCA uses a sliding scale to evaluate each applicant. Through gifts to the annual Open Doors Scholarship Campaign, the YMCA of Greenville makes its services available to thousands in our community every year. Annually, the YMCA provides in excess of $950,000 in scholarships through gifts made by county friends.
