Kai and his mom Ashlyn
This is a very special day at the YMCA of Greenville! It is DAY OF GIVING.

You may wonder, how will your support help? Take the next 90 seconds to listen to single mom, Ashlyn Ours. She describes what the Y's childcare means every day for her and her son Kai. All year long, we serve hundreds of children in our Afterschool and Summer Day Camp.  When schools were closed, we opened our doors to Kai and other children for emergency child care and later to support eLearning during virtual school days. We are here for Kai, for Ashlyn, and for every adult and child we serve. At the Y, no one is ever turned away due to inability to pay.

At the same time, we are committed to feeding struggling families in our community. Hunger is a more critical issue than ever, due to the difficulties families have encountered as a result of the COVID pandemic. Please help us fill bags of food for your neighbors in need.
  • $50 will fill two bags of food.
  • $150 will provide a child a week of summer day camp.
  • $200 will provide afterschool care for a child for a month.
  • $500 will feed a family for three months.
  • $1250 sponsors our food bag program for one week.

Today, please watch Ashlyn and Kai's video and consider a gift that is truly life-changing. Your generosity TODAY enables us to serve more children in a safe and nurturing environment at the YMCA of Greenville and to make sure they don't go to bed hungry.
