175 years ago, George Williams founded the YMCA in Industrial Revolution-era London to help young men like himself address the social challenges impacting their lives. 175 years later, the Y is addressing social challenges for ALL PEOPLE in 119 countries.
The mission may look a little different in than it did 175 years ago, but every day, The Y addresses challenges like chronic disease management and prevention, drowning prevention, providing a safe place to go after school for children and teens, mentoring, and so much more.
We're proud of our roots. And we're proud of our mission. And we're so glad that YOU are a part of it.
The YMCA of Greenville, following the example of Christ, builds healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
