At the Y, we care about your holistic health and we know that how you're fueling your body is just as important as how you are being physically active. We want to make the journey easier for you to maintain a healthy lifestyle and diet and our registered dieticians are available just for that. Whether you are looking for 1-on-1 sessions, group discussions, or structured programs we have the staff that can help you reach your goals. Request more information or schedule an appointment by emailing us.
Meet with a registered dietitian to receive personalized calorie, protein, carbohydrates, and fat needs, a suggested meal plan according to those needs, and guidance on implementing healthier eating habits. Registered dietitians are also available for disease-specific counseling (i.e. Diabetes, High Cholesterol, High Blood Pressure, Irritable Bowel Syndrome, Allergies, etc.). Each session is 60 minutes.
Making healthy lifestyle changes is easier with support in your own household. In Youth and Family Nutrition Consultations, our dietitians work together with you to help your child develop healthy habits through family nutrition support. We will create individual nutrition plans, discuss how to manage chronic diseases or illnesses, and achieve personal health goals as your child gets older.
A well-balanced program is the best way to see results and make the healthy lifestyle changes that are needed to hit your goals. Our 8-week nutrition and training program allows our Registered Dietitian, who is also a Nationally Certified Personal Trainer, to work with you on both your nutrition and exercise needs. This package is a great opportunity for anyone trying to minimize the time it takes to reach a specific weight loss or training goal. The package includes (2) Personal Training sessions and (1) Nutrition Consultation session per week for eight weeks. You can also choose between 30 minute training sessions and 60 minute training sessions depending on your preference.
You will receive on-going support, personalized information, amazing recipes, motivation, sample grocery lists, meal planning assistance, advice on avoiding fad diets, objective feedback and tools to avoid lifestyle diseases.
Personalized nutrition: Registered Dietitians have the expertise to customize dietary information and devise a plan that is specific to you and your families’ personal health and wellness goals.
Registered dietitians can eliminate confusing and widespread nutrition recommendations and offer sound, relevant advice. Registered Dietitians make it their business to stay up to date on nutrition and health news, trends, and research.
Credentials. Registered Dietitians must be credentialed and licensed and they have completed rigorous schooling and training.
Accountability. Registered Dietitians will provide on-going motivation and support as you attempt to make permanent and lifestyle-appropriate dietary changes.
Registered Dietitians know food and love food too! A dietitian can make it healthy, while tasting great, with the added benefit of helping you feel your very best.
A Registered Dietitian helps you manage common conditions like diabetes, high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. In addition, food and nutrition are also strongly related to autoimmune conditions, infertility, problems with sleep, and anxiety... all of which a dietitian can help you address with the right food and nutrients.
