Group exercise is a great way be active and social at the same time! Each YMCA of Greenville location offers different class options, and each branch has unique studio and group workout spaces. To ensure that you have the best (and safest) experience possible, please note that class policies may vary. Our staff are here to help if you have questions or want to try a new class!

Please register in advance for your class. All attendees must actively participate, and refrain from actions that are disruptive. Classes are subject to change due to instructor availability/substitutions, or emergencies that may arise. Please do not use cell phones or cameras during class. Instructors have the ultimate discretion about how the class will be offered and what equipment may be used. Instructors may ask participants to modify their exercise style, or refrain from participating in the class should the person's safety be compromised.

See Group Exercise Schedules & REgister for Classes >>

Group Exercise Age Policies:

  • Ages 10-12 are allowed to participate in non-equipment-based classes when accompanied by a parent. All other group exercise classes are accessible to those ages 13 and up (a parent must accompany any child aged 13-15 participating in Beast Mode class, or Beast Mode open gym).
  • Some locations offer child-specific group exercise classes (i.e., Beast Mode Kids). Age requirements for children's classes will be listed on the Group Exercise Schedule.

*Please note: The YMCA of Greenville offers a variety of group classes each week. It may be necessary to adjust age requirements for a specific class based on capacity, equipment availability, and safety. Please consult your instructor with any questions.
